Latest Volusia County Beach Parking News

Beginning October 1, 2024, Park Volusia will oversee Volusia County’s Beach Driving and Off-Beach Parking programs, offering annual parking permits for easy beach access. Volusia County has contracted with PCI Municipal Services to manage these updates.

All permits and passes under Park Volusia will be virtual—no more windshield stickers. Instead, your vehicle’s license plate will serve as your permit or pass. You’ll enter your license plate information annually and can update it anytime throughout the year, such as if you purchase a new vehicle or temporarily use a rental.

IMPORTANT NOTE: You will no longer have the ability to apply/purchase an annual parking permit at the beach toll booths, so apply online, in the Volusia County Beaches app, or visit a Park Volusia office.

How Can I Learn More About The New Park Volusia Virtual Permits?

The Park Volusia registration for annual passes is available here online, through the Volusia Beaches app and a new Park Volusia office in Daytona Beach Shores will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Saturday, at 2422 S. Atlantic Ave beginning Oct. 1.  Stay tuned for a New Smyrna Beach Park Volusia location that will open in the near future.

Park Volusia will be hosting community events where the public can come and learn more about the Park Volusia program. Park Volusia staff will be on-site to help County residents apply for their “no-cost” parking permits and visitors  can purchase a parking permit.

“NO-COST” Parking Permits for Volusia County Residents!

Starting October 1, 2024, Volusia County residents can apply for a permit that grants access to beach driving and parking at any of the County's 65 designated off-beach lots without a fee. If you've already purchased a beach access permit within the past year, it will remain valid until it expires. However, we encourage all residents to apply today to take advantage of the complimentary permit.

Visitors Can Purchase a New Virtual Pass!

Starting October 1, 2024, visitors to Volusia County can purchase a new virtual parking pass that provides access to beach driving and County-owned off-beach parking lots. If you’ve purchased a beach driving permit within the past year, it will still be valid until it expires.

However, starting January 1, 2025, previously purchased beach driving permits will not be valid for off-beach parking in a County-owned lot. A visitor must separately purchase an annual pass for beach driving and off-beach parking. Visitors will be able to purchase an annual off-beach parking pass on January 1, 2025. There is no charge to park in a County-owned off-beach lot for anyone until this date.
