How Can We Help You?

If you can’t find the answer you’re looking for, our support team will be happy to assist you.

  • A resident of Volusia County is someone who either owns residential property or rents/leases (minimum of a six-month timeframe) a residence within the county. This includes single-family homes, condominiums, apartments, or lots within mobile home or recreational vehicle parks.

  • Yes, residents who lease a lot in a community park for a mobile home, modular unit, or recreational vehicle qualify for the resident no-cost parking permit, provided they have a lease agreement with a minimum duration of six months.

  • Beach driving or parking in a Park Volusia lot requires visitors  of Volusia County to pay a fee. Residents can apply for the brand new virtual (non-sticker) parking permits at no cost. Non-residents can purchase the same parking permit. Beachgoers will no longer have the ability to apply/purchase an annual parking permit at beach toll booths, so apply online, in the Volusia County Beaches app, or visit a Park Volusia office. Parking programs maintained by municipalities (New Smyrna Beach, Daytona Beach) have separate processes and fees associated with parking lots.

  • To find beach parking, Volusia County has an app where beachgoers can find real-time information about parking locations. In the future, you will see where parking may be full or where parking spots may be available.

  • Residents with state-registered handicapped license plates, including Disabled Veteran plates, or temporary handicapped placards should register their vehicles with ParkVolusia to access beach driving at automated beach ramps and to avoid fines at off-beach lots with license plate readers. Non-Volusia County persons with handicapped license plates, including Disabled Veteran plates, or placards qualify for waived off-beach parking and beach driving fees through program registration. The kiosks in the off-beach lots are unable to waive daily parking fees; however, the fine can be waived with appropriate documentation of a handicapped license plate, including a Disabled Veteran plate.

  • As of October 1, 2024, the daily beach driving fee will increase to $30 per day (plus sales tax & any credit card fees) for any non-permitted vehicle. For quicker access to parking and to enjoy the beach, we strongly urge visitors to apply online and purchase the new virtual parking permit. Volusia County residents should also apply for their annual, “no-cost” resident parking permit prior to arriving at the beach.

  • No! Annual parking permits WILL NO LONGER be able to be purchased at beach entrance ramps.  Annual permits can only be purchased online, in the Volusia County Beaches app, or by visiting a Park Volusia office during business hours. Daily passes can be purchased at the beach entrance ramps.

  • Yes! Park Volusia resident and visitor beach parking permits must be renewed annually. Online applications make the process quick and easy, provided you have the right documentation.

  • Driving on the beach is allowed on Daytona Beach, Daytona Beach Shores, and New Smyrna Beach. While driving on Ormond Beach is allowed, at times it is limited to four-wheel-drive vehicles. Only the southern tip of Ponce Inlet is open to beach driving.

  • Beginning on October 1, 2024, a beach parking permit will allow Volusia County residents to drive on a Volusia County beach for free. However, visitors will have to pay a daily fee or purchase an annual parking permit online or at a Park Volusia office. Volusia County residents must register their vehicles to avoid paying the fees.

  • Volusia County beaches are open to vehicles from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. or sundown whichever is earlier from May 1 through Oct. 31, and between sunrise to sunset from Nov. 1 to April 30, tides permitting.

  • Volusia County residents may register as many vehicles as they wish, provided the vehicles are registered in their name. Nonresidents can only register one vehicle per pass purchased.

  • Beginning October 1st, residents can apply for a no-cost parking pass and visitors can purchase an annual pass here online, in the Volusia County Beaches app. A new Park Volusia office in Daytona Beach Shores will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Saturday, at 2422 S. Atlantic Ave on October 1st. Stay tuned for a New Smyrna Beach Park Volusia location that will open in the near future.

  • Whether you’re applying online, in the app or in person, applicants will need to upload a valid Driver's License, registration for each vehicle, and if a resident, proof of Volusia County residency or property ownership.

  • Inlet Park access fees are not included in the resident no-cost parking permit. Residents and visitors must purchase a separate Inlet Park daily pass or annual permit to access Lighthouse Point Park and Smyrna Dunes Park.

  • To receive emails about your application status, make sure to verify your email address when creating an account. Individuals who register with the ParkVolusia program will receive updates about their application status through the email address provided during registration. Once approved, you will receive a confirmation email. Since the ParkVolusia program uses license plates to verify registration, participants will not receive a sticker, placard, or physical item by mail, nor will they need to pick up anything in person.

  • There is no deadline to register a vehicle with the ParkVolusia program, and registrations may continue beyond Jan. 1, 2025. However, residents should ensure their vehicle’s registration is confirmed with the program before parking in County-owned and operated off-beach lots or driving on the beach.

  • Volusia County residents who register for the program will receive complimentary access to both off-beach parking in County-owned and operated lots and beach driving, requiring only a one-time registration. Non-Volusia County residents, however, must purchase two separate annual passes: one for off-beach parking at $100 and another for beach driving at $150.
